The New Superman, David Corenswet married his longtime partner last year in March. The wedding ceremony happened in Louisiana following Jewish and Catholic traditions.
Corenswet, 31, graduated from Julliard in 2016. He began his acting career with the short movie Following Chase in 2011 and received his big break in the TV series Moe & Jerryweather in 2014.
Corenswet is known for his work as River Barkley in the TV series The Politician and appeared in the 2022 hit horror movie Pearl.
Recently, David gave the fans the first glimpse of him in the iconic Superman suit. Last year, director James Gunn finalized David as the new Superman, replacing Henry Cavill.

David Corenswet married last year in March in Immaculate Conception Church in Louisiana. As David comes from a Jewish heritage, his wedding was officiated by rabbi Edward Cohn.
The Times of Israel shared the details of David’s wedding ceremony. They revealed that David’s wife was Catholic, because of which Cohn officiated the ceremony alongside a priest.
The ceremony consisted of several traditional Jewish rituals, including a breaking of the glass, combined with Catholic traditions.
Julie Vanderbrook, the wedding coordinator at Immaculate Conception Church, said, “The bride and groom were just so determined to intersperse the Jewish traditions with the Catholic traditions, which enhanced the beauty and the strength of both faiths.”
The Times of Israel also shared that David’s wife, like him, is an actor, and the two live in Philadelphia. So, there is a chance that the pair met at Julliard or crossed paths while filming the same project.
The Greatest Hits actor has tried to keep his relationship out of the public limelight. After it was announced David would become the next Superman, the actor has cleared his Instagram account and has only four posts.
Three posts are related to Superman, and one is the trailer for his movie The Greatest Hits. He had previously shared several pictures with dogs, making it seem like they are the true love of his life.
But even before he cleared his Instagram account, David never shared any romantic posts. We will probably know more about his love life during the press run for his much-awaited movie.

The New Superman, David Corenswet, comes from a prominent Jewish family in New Orleans. His great-grandfather was a Jewish immigrant from Russia and had German Jewish ancestry.
David’s granddad, Sam Corenswet Jr, was a Tulane University graduate and served in the US Army during World War II. He owned the companies Corenswet Inc and Colorpix Inc.
Sam was a sports enthusiast, and like his dad, he became the President of the New Orleans Mid Winter Sports Association.

David Corenswet’s parents, John and Caroline, come from a law background. The couple raised their two kids in Philadelphia.
But his dad, John, also had an acting career before delving into the corporate side. John graduated from Isidore Newman School and was captain of the basketball team.
