Katee Sackhoff is married to writer/actor Robin Gadsby. Robin and Katee tied the knot in October 2021 after meeting on the sets of the 2019 TV show Another Life.
Sackhoff, 44, had already given up on love before she met the writer. After having come out of a horrendous relationship only nine months prior to meeting Robin, Katee never thought she was going to get married.
But today, the pair is parents to a beautiful baby girl, Ginerva Grace Gadsby, who is a regular feature on her mother’s Instagram handle. Earlier this year, Katee had shared a sweet photo of Robin guiding their daughter, Ginverva, during a walk.
With The Mandalorian ending last year after three seasons, there are rumors that the fourth season has been reworked into a movie. There has been no confirmation that Katee or her co-star Pedro Pascal are part of it,

Katee Sackhoff is married and has a husband who works in the entertainment industry. Robin Gadsby might not be the most well-known name, but our writer was as charming as a rom-com movie actor when he began pursuing his future wife.
Born and raised in British Columbia, Robin, just like his wife, Katee, comes from a family that has no connection to Hollywood.
After graduating in 2013 from the University of Victoria with a degree in fine arts in theatre, Gadsby moved to Vancouver to pursue his career in film and television.
One of Robin’s first works came as an actor in a short movie titled Love Is Simple in 2014. Later that year, he worked on a Christmas TV movie, Signed, Sealed, Delivered For Christmas.
For the next three years, Robin worked in a TV series, Backstrom, and four short movies, with the last one coming in 2017 titled Sentience.
Katee Sackhoff Shares How She Met Her Husband Robin Gadsby
When it comes to sharing about her love life with Robin, the Mandalorian actress hasn’t shied away from spilling the tea. During a conversation with Michael Rosenbaum on his podcast Inside of You in 2021, Katee detailed how she first crossed paths with Robin.
After working as an actor for three years and seeing limited success, Robin began his writing career. Alongside writing, Robin also used to manage a bar.
But Robin had enough of it and thought he was going nowhere near his goal. So, he called up his friend, who was working on the TV series Another Life.
Gadsby didn’t get the writer position in the show but decided to take a low-level position and ease himself back into the industry. Robin joined the show as an assistant producer, and there he met Katee, the main character on their show.
In her interview with Michael, Katee stated that she met Robin after getting out of nine months of her relationship with Karl Urban (2014-18) that ended “terribly.” The relationship ended so badly that Katee did not want to look eye to eye with any men.
But while working on the set, Katee started interacting with Robin, and feelings began growing between them. During the initial stages, Katee thought Robin would just be a rebound as he was ten years younger than her.
The actress even told her mother that whoever marries Robin would be a lucky girl. Little did she know that it would be her.
Katee And Robin Tied The Knot In 2021
Katee had met a lot of “nice guys” before Robin, but Robin was someone unlike others. Katee’s mother was already a big fan of Robin and had given her the green light.
The pair lived together during the quarantine period in 2020 and tested their relationship. But even before that, the couple had started renovating their house together, which was only a sign that they were a perfect match.
On Katee’s 40th birthday in April 2020, Robin got down on one knee and asked the actress to be his wife. The proposal took place in Robin’s homeland, British Columbia.
Katee shared two pictures from the occasion. The first slide showed the couple in the woods, and the second photo was of a birthday cake with “Katee, will you marry me?” written on it.
Almost a year later, on October 4, 2021, Katee and Robin walked down the aisle. She confirmed to her fans that she had tied the knot by sharing a picture of her wedding dress, heels, and a magnum bottle, given to her by her dad.
In the coming weeks, Katee shared a couple more pictures of her wedding night, with one picture of them dancing, looking like it came straight out of the movies.
Katee And Robin Are Parents To One Daughter
Only two months after their wedding, Katee surprised her fans again, revealing she and Robin had welcomed a baby girl. On December 24, 2021, Katee took to her Instagram to share a photo of her cuddling their daughter, Ginerva Grace Gadsby.
The actress and the writer didn’t reveal whether they had adopted the child or had her through surrogacy.
However, there is a higher chance that the couple had their daughter through surrogacy, as Katee revealed in her podcast interview that she had frozen her eggs ages ago.
Their child, Ginevra Grace Gadsby, was born on December 6, 2021, making them a family of six. Family of six because Katee and Robin were already parents to three lovely dogs.
Katee has featured her daughter several times on her Instagram handle and has shared posts that could give any married couple baby fever.
Last year, in an interview, The Mandalorian actress shared her daughter’s love for Baby Yoda, aka Grogu. Katee agreed that her daughter isn’t the targeted age group for the show, but she does have a Star Wars pop-up book.
She also shared that Ginerva also loves the character Darth Maul, whom she loves hugging and kissing before she flips to Grogu and hugs him.
Katee Sackhoff Talks About Surviving Cancer
It was in 2008 that Katee found out that she had thyroid cancer. She talked about surviving the deadly disease earlier this year, in January, in her Inside of You interview.
Sharing her story, Katee revealed her gynecologist found a nodule on her neck and told her to have it checked.
As thyroid cancer is one of the most treatable forms of cancer, Katee shared she didn’t have to go through some of the harrowing experiences faced by other cancer patients.
In her interview after her operation, Katee revealed that she had survivor’s guilt as she felt her cancer was so treatable.
Later in her interview, Katee also revealed that her cancer treatment had made her hypochondriac about her health and that she would feel afraid to visit doctors.
On July 15, 2023, Sackhoff headlined the Voice Against Cancer Initiative Event at the Sioux Falls Convention Center.
Earlier this year, in February, the actress also shared a Facebook post of her after taking a mammogram test. The actress wrote, “I didn’t only come to LA for my tattoo! I came to keep my breasts healthy! I have super dense breasts and a family history of breast cancer, which raises my risks.”
