Jonathan Huberdeau Family: The NHL Player Came From A Humble Background
The Flames winger, Jonathan Huberdeau, is Alain and Josee Blondin Huberdeau’s middle child. Born at Cité-de-la-Santé Hospital, the athlete’s parents lived in Prévost.
The family later moved to Bellefeuille. Jonathan lived in Prévost until age 12, where he played hockey and baseball. Jonathan’s dad, Alain, sold cars for livelihood.
In his junior year, Jonathan hoped his dad would give him a little car. But his father straight-up refused. Alain told his son that if he wanted a car, he would have to work for it.
The NHL player’s first car cost about $2000, and it was a red 1999 Saturn with a manual transmission. Jonathan had even picked up a job at his dad’s office as a car washer so he could afford to buy the car.
