Frederik Andersen And Hilary Knight Relationship Status
The pair was seen for the first time in 2014 on the red carpet of the ESPYS Awards.
The two began dating when Andersen was playing for the Anaheim Ducks, and the goaltender even took Knight as his date to his team’s fashion show.
In 2014, Knight skated with the Ducks to raise the profile of women’s hockey. Knight claimed in her interview with ESPN, “I’m one of those women who just like to push boundaries.”
During her practice session with the Ducks, Frederik was one of her goalies, and the forward didn’t fail to mesmerize everyone with her performance.
Since their breakup, Frederik hasn’t been pictured hanging out with any romantic partners. But Hilary is in a relationship and has changed her dating life significantly.

Frederik Andersen’s parents, Ernst and Charlotte Andersen, are former hockey players. The Andersens can be called Denmark’s first family of ice hockey.
In his heyday, Ernst Andersen, like his son, played as a goaltender. But he never made it to the NHL. He began his professional career in Denmark in 1984 with Herning IK and played for the side until 1993.
In 1994, Ernst joined Odense Bulldogs and was part of the team until 1997. He returned to Herning IK in 1998 and retired from the sport in 2001, with Herning Blue Fox being his last team.
Frederik’s mother, Charlotte Clause Andersen, also played hockey and that too defense. Like her husband, Charlotte was part of the Herning team.
Frederik Andersen Siblings
The Carolina Hurricanes goalie has three siblings- one sister, Amalie, and two brothers, Valdemar and Sebastian Andersen. All three play hockey.
Amalie Andersen, 25, plays defense for the Swedish Division I team Rogle BK. She joined the side in 2023.
Like her parents, Amalie began her hockey journey with Herning. She played for the side until 2015 and transferred to the Swedish team Linkoping HC in 2016.
After playing for three seasons in the Swedish league, Amalie enrolled at the University of Maine and graduated in 2022.
Sebastian Andersen, one of two younger brothers of Frederik, is currently playing with the Danish side Herning IK. His other younger brother, Valdemar, plays as a goalie for Herning Blue Fox.
