Arch Manning Is A Quarterback Commit At The Texas Longhorns

On June 23, 2022, Manning confirmed via Twitter his commitment to play with the Texas Longhorns at the University of Texas at Austin.

The Isidore Newman School (in New Orleans) attendant chose over some suitors which even included the alma mater of his uncles; Ole Miss Rebels (his uncle Eli Manning played there), and the University of Tennessee (2-time NFL champ uncle Peyton Manning played there).

As Arch hails from a family with great NFL values, expectations from him are undoubtedly higher, and the young football quarterback is already on fire.

Manning Sent Waves with Impressive High School Football Stats

He made a way to the yard of touchdowns from a young age- courtesy of the impression of his father, uncles & grandpa.

But it got a track to future NFL prospects after he enrolled at Isidore Newman School, which has been home to NFL stars like Odel Beckhem Jr., Eli Manning, Peyton Manning, and Omar Douglas.

In Sept 2019, then 14 years old, Arch Manning crushed the 40-year history of his alma mater to start as the quarterback as a freshman. It added up with an impressive 46-yard throw against Lusher in a 41-15 victory.

As per his grandfather Archie, the young figure’s bursting talent ‘even rivals his uncles Peyton and Eli and himself’. The claim saw an appraisal as Manning’s sophomore year started with 6 touchdowns in the season opener, followed up with a national television debut in October 2020, vs. Booker T. Washington that earned him two touchdowns.

Is Arch Manning The Coming-Of-Age Quarterback Figure?

Well, claims are that Arch is the flag bearer of the Manning family’s reputation- and some of them are already on the table of truth. No wonder, why the New Orleans native is the No. 1 recruit in the 2023 class.

Additionally, 247Sports ranked him N0. 5 Overall among the Top 100 for the 2023 class.

But not every day is the best game day, a fan argued with Manning’s stats of only 44 yards and 0 touchdowns in last year’s playoffs. While some fans tend to remain neutral and state that predictions about future games are like taking shots in the darkness.

For sure, the hopes are high & so are the challenges for the future NCAA star.
