(Spoiler Alert!!) What Is Dream Vortex? How Rose Walker Is Related To Lord Morpheus?
Her character Rose Walker is the great-granddaughter of Unity Kincaid (actress Sandra James-Young), who was meant to be the Dream Vortex of her era. And biologically, Rose is also the great-granddaughter of Desire (actor Mason Alexander Park), who is the sibling of Dream/Lord Morpheus.
In the Sandman season finale, Kincaid told Dream while in her deep sleep, she met a man with golden eyes in her dreams and became pregnant with his child. The pregnancy was real in her waking world too.
And the man with golden eyes is no other than Lord Morpheus’ brother Desire. So, Dream aka Lord Morpheus comes to know of his brother’s conspiracy.
In The Sandman universe, the dream vortex is a creature with powers to break barriers of the dreaming world. It can collapse the minds of all sleepers resulting complete destruction of the waking world.
