Hardrict, 45, recently talked about his divorce during the ESSENCE Festival of Culture. The actor promoted his upcoming movie Divorce in the Black alongside actress Meagan Good.
The actor had nothing but kind words for his former partner and they will continue to be friends for a long time and support each other.
In April 2024, Tia shared she was returning to reality television and announced the series will be titled, Tia Mowry: My Next Act. The show will premiere on AMC Network’s WEtv.

Tia Mowry’s two kids played a part in her decision to file for divorce. She shared this during her interview with HelloBeautiful on June 28.
The actress said, “For them, seeing their mother walk in truth, I feel like it’s a great lesson for them because it was not an easy decision.” Mowry shared she hopes her kids can see that “even if there’s some doubt,” their mommy pushed through.
Tia added she wants her kids to live their lives the way they want and not live according to her or anyone else’s instructions. The Family Reunion actress said, “I want them to see that it is OK to have a bad day. I want them to see that it is OK to chase your joy. I want them to see that it is OK to live your truth.”
Tia’s First Child Was Born In 2011
Tia Mowry’s first child, Cree Taylor Hardrict, was born on June 28, 2011. Mowry had announced her pregnancy in January 2011, telling PEOPLE she felt “sexy and empowered.”
Tia’s pregnancy was documented on the Tia & Tamera show, which the actress starred in alongside her twin sister, Tamera. An eight-minute video from the show after Cree’s birth is available on YouTube for viewing, which shows Tia’s humorous side as a parent, with the actress revealing to her sister that her now ex-husband had drank her milk.
On June 29, 2024, Tia celebrated her son turning teenager. She shared a lengthy Instagram post for her son, writing, “I can’t believe my baby is growing up so fast.

Tia Became A Mother Again In 2018
On May 5, 2018, Tia Mowry gave birth to her second child, a daughter whom they named Cairo Tiahna Hardrict. Tia shared the news of Cairo’s birth on her Instagram story.
The actress shared a photo of her on a hospital bed, holding her daughter in her arms, and captioned the post, “Feeling grateful and blessed as we welcome our little baby girl into the world.”
Soon after Cairo’s birth, Tia shared the meaning behind her name. The actress said the word Cairo means victorious. Her daughter’s middle name, Tiahana, means follower of Christ and is also one of the first African princesses’ names.
Tia has previously talked about her pregnancy struggle. In her 20s, Mowry was diagnosed with endometriosis, a disease in which the tissue that lines the uterus, or endometrium, is found outside the uterus. So, when Tia received the news that she had successfully conceived Cairo, she couldn’t believe it.
On Cairo’s third birthday in 2021, Tia shared a video of her sweet daughter and her family and captioned the post, “My darling baby girl Cairo. Having children was never easy for me. When And How Did Tia Mowry And Cory Hardrict Meet? Engagement And Wedding
Tia Mowry and Cory Hardrict crossed paths for the first time in 2000 while filming the movie Hollywood Horror. In her interview with PEOPLE, Tia talked about her first meeting with Cory.
Mowry said, “It was the last year of Sister, Sister, and I had decided to embark on my first feature film. I wasn’t really focused on boys at the time since I was in my early 20s, juggling my career and going to school—however, while Cory and I were filming, he took a liking to me rather quickly.”
Mowry’s mother supported Tia’s relationship with Cory. She told her daughter that Cory seemed to be a nice guy and that she should give him a chance.

Nobody saw Tia and Cory’s divorce coming, as the couple had flown to Europe only three months prior to celebrate their 14th anniversary. Mowry announced her divorce from Cory Hardrict in October 2022.
She shared the heartbreaking news on her Instagram handle with the caption, “I have always been honest with my fans, and today is no different. I wanted to share that Cory and I have decided to go our separate ways.
These decisions are never easy, and not without sadness. We will maintain a friendship as we co-parent our beautiful children.”
