Tamayo Perry and his wife, Emilia Perry, were surfboard lovers. The two celebrated their 22nd anniversary on December 31, 2023, not knowing it was their last.
Perry, 49, died on Sunday afternoon after a shark fatally attacked him while surfing in Hawaii. Paramedics on Malaekahana Beach, Oahu, pronounced him dead after he had been taken to shore by jet ski.
The officials said that the Pirates of the Caribbean actor suffered more than one possible bite, leading to his untimely demise. A professional lifeguard, Perry was a beloved man in his community.
Other than Pirates of Carribean, Perry had also worked on the show Hawaii Five-0. The news of Perry’s death comes less than a week after the show’s much-beloved actor, Taylor Wily, passed away at age 56 due to natural causes.
