Khyree Jackson Died At 24: More Details On His Accident
Minnesota Vikings rookie Khyree Jackson lost his life in a Maryland car crash on July 6, 2024. Born on August 11, 1999, the late cornerback was just 24 at the time of his demise.
The official Viking’s Twitter (now X) page broke the news of his death with a heartfelt post,
“We are devastated by the news of Khyree Jackson’s death following an overnight car accident. Our thoughts are with Khyree’s family, friends, teammates and coaches, as well as all the victims of this tragic accident.”
While the Maryland State Police provided the details of the accident, they revealed that the two former high school teammates, Isaiah Hazel,23, and Anthony Lyotton, 24, were also killed in the accident.
Khyree and Isaiah were declared no more briefly after first responders reached the scene around 3:14 am, whereas Anthony was announced dead at a nearby hospital.
As cops stated, the crash involving the trio was together in a Dodge Charger when another car’s driver, identified as Cori Clingman, tried changing lanes at a high speed, and that ended up hitting the NFL rookie’s vehicle.
Despite the force of the crash caused Jackson’s car to travel off the road and hit many tree stumps, Clingman and his other two passengers were surprisingly not injured and denied medical treatment at the scene.
Therefore, investigators have so far suspected that alcohol might be the reason contributing to the incidents that led to such unfortunate accidents.

For parents, no event is as unfortunate and devasting as the passing of their child. Khyree Jackson is survived by his mother, Ebbony Jackson, and as soon as she learned about his death, she broke into tears, as claimed by TMZ.
With the help of Vikings, Khyree’s fans also learned that the entire Jackson family was equally devasted by the news.
Alongside his mom, family, and friends, several Minnesota Vikings members mourned the NFL player’s loss. The head coach, Kevin O’Connell, writes he was absolutely crushed by the news on X. He stated,
“Khyree brought a contagious energy to our facility and our team. His confidence and engaging personality immediately drew his teammates to him … I am at a loss for words.”
Likewise, the Vikings general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah also offered condolences, sharing a statement that he was heartbroken by his death and talking about how Jackson had been taking steps to become the best version of himself.
