Supacell’s Nadine Miles family is out of the spotlight. The actress has yet to share any family details in her interviews.
Miles has made a comeback to TV screens after three years with Supacell. Directed by Rapman, Supacell shows five South Londoners who suddenly have been vested with superpowers, including Nadine’s character, Sabrina Clarke.
The show has Tosin Cole as the lead, who is gifted with the power to see the future and has to save his fiance, Dionne, played by Adelayo Adedayo. Since premiering in June, the show has maintained a 100% critic rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
There have been no talks about the show getting a second season, but Netflix is highly likely to renew it. Before starring as Sabrina, Nadine almost gave up on her acting career, but with newfound fame and the positive reception of Supacell, Mills will probably book one role after another.
Where Are Nadine Mills’ Family From? What Is Her Ethnicity?
Nadine Mills’ family has kept themselves out of the public limelight. The actress hasn’t shared a single photo with her parents or siblings on her Instagram.
Many celebs do not share family photos on social media handles, but they do follow them. In Nadine’s case, she hasn’t followed her parents on her Instagram. She follows two people with the same last name as her, but they have locked their accounts, making it hard to know their relationship with her.
Nadine has previously talked a bit about her family life in an interview with Verite. When asked when she started performing, the actress said, “To be honest, it’s something that was always in me when I was young.
I always performed and put on little shows for my mum and dad. I was probably that annoying child that would be like, “Watch me! Look at me! I’ve got something else for you!”
By far, Nadine has given only a few interviews as she is slowly building her fanbase. In the future, as she starts racking up shows, the amount of interviews she has to do will also increase.
In the interviews she has done recently, the actress is mostly talking about the show and her character, Sabrina. She hasn’t shared any details about her family and hasn’t said where her family is originally from.
Her two Supacell co-stars-Tosin Cole and Adelayo Adedayo, have Nigerian heritage and have spoken about their family in previous interviews. When asked what drew her towards Sabrina, Nadine said, “She’s not just a one-dimensional character. She is this nurse who is trying to work her way up in her career.
She has a younger sister, who she is responsible for because her parents have moved back to Jamaica to retire. I feel like I relate to her in the sense that she is very determined. She is nurturing, but she is also someone who, if you cross her and the ones she loves, is not afraid to go off. And that’s a bit of me as well.”
So, in real life, there’s a chance that Nadine has a younger sibling whom she has taken care of as a parent. As Nadine progresses in her career, we will probably hear more childhood stories and details about her family life.
Nadine Almost Gave Up On Her Acting Career
In her interview with Verite, Nadine revealed she almost said goodbye to her acting career. Before she received the role of Sabrina from Rapman, she was running her livelihood as a part-time Maths and English teacher.
Mills said, “To be honest, before I booked this role, I was in a moment of my life where I was ready to give up. I’ve been doing it for a while. I was about to enroll and complete my teaching degree because I was teaching Math and English part-time.
So, I thought maybe I should do this properly and invest my time in a “proper” career. We all have that feeling. So, when I got the role, I broke down in tears.”
Mills graduated from London’s University of Westminster with a Contemporary Media Practice degree in 2010. She went to school and college and studied drama but didn’t go to university for it.”
In her interview, Nadine talked about her desire to learn what happened behind the camera. But the actress always knew she wanted to do something in acting.
Soon after graduating from university, Nadine worked on a short movie titled Drink, Drugs, and KFC. From 2013-2019, she worked in small roles in short and lengthy movies, including Sable Fable, Malachi, Untamed, The Weekend, and The Strangers.
Her last work in TV before bagging Supacell was in 2021 with Sliced. In 2022, she starred in the movie The Pay Day as Adrienne.
