Brayden McNabb’s wife, Lelanie McNabb, has South African heritage. Lelanie and Brayden began dating in late 2017 and tied the knot four years later.
Unlike some NHL WAGs, Lelanie loves keeping her family affair out of the spotlight. Last year, the NHL couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy, Laken.
Last year probably was one of the best years for the Vegas Golden Knights defenseman. His team won their first Stanley Cup in the franchise’s history, and he also became a dad for the first time.
Currently, the Knights are facing the Dallas Stars in the West Conference First Round and are hoping to go back-to-back.
Meet Brayden McNabb’s Wife, Lelanie McNabb, And Her Family
Brayden McNabb’s wife, Lelanie McNabb, was raised by South African native parents, Carel and Susan Seyffert, in Calgary, Canada.
The better half of the star NHL player, Lelanie, has tried to keep herself away from the public limelight. She has kept her Instagram handle private and isn’t available on other social media platforms.
Lelanie graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 2019 with a degree in engineering. Whether Lelanie has used her degree for work purposes remains unknown.
Lelanie’s parents, Carel and Susan Seyffert do not come from a sports background. Carel Seyffert hails from Brakpan, Gauteng, South Africa, and graduated from Johannesburg Technical College in 1986.
With his family, Seyffert arrived in Canada in 2003 and began working as a Technical Project Coordinator at Atco Frontec Security. He had 13 years of experience in cyber security before joining the Canadian company.
Since 2005, Carel has been working at Convergint Technologies. He joined the company as a senior project manager in 2005 and was promoted to Business Development Executive in 2010 before leaving the company for a year in 2015.
During that one-year break from the company, Carel worked at Avigilon as a Regional Sales Manager but returned to Convergint as a senior account executive in 2016.
Lelanie’s mother, Susan Seyffert, graduated from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT). She has been working at Repsol Oil & Gas Canada since 2018.
Meet Her Siblings: Chris And Elsabe Seyffert
The better half of the NHL player isn’t the only child of her parents. She has two siblings, Chris and Elsabe Seyffert. Lelanie’s brother, Chris Seyffert, graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 2022 with a physiology & pharmacology degree.
While in Saskatchewan, Chris worked as a student crew coordinator, and after graduating, he joined the company Impres.
At Impres, Chris worked as a pharmaceutical sales representative in dermatology for a year. Since 2024, Chris has been working as a specialist in prescribing relations & development for Canada Health Infoway.
Following in her mother’s footsteps, Lelanie’s sister, Elsabe Seyffert, studied at SAIT before enrolling at Athabasca University.
Since 2022, Elsabe has been working as an executive assistant at Alcana Contracting and Consulting Inc. SHe previously worked as a rehabilitation assistant at Carewest Innovative Health Care.
Unlike Lelanie, Chris and Elsabe do have a social media presence. The two siblings have shared several photos with their sister on their social media handles.
