A genetic blessing from actor parents, the Greenhouse Academy star Grace Van Dien created a buzz in the film industry with her proficient works.
But it seems she has switched her interest to Twitch streaming, and reportedly turned down a couple of on-screen projects in 2023. So, has Grace quit acting? If so, why?

In May 2023, during one of her Twitch streams, the Charlie Says actress opened up that she stepped back from acting after sexual harassment from one of the film producers.
As a result of negative experiences, she turned down four movie roles in the last two and a half weeks.
Van Dien didn’t name the producer but detailed the incident saying,
“The last few projects I’ve worked on I didn’t have the best experiences with some of the people I had to work for. One of the last movies I did, one of the producers asked me to… like, he hired a girl that he was sleeping with and then he had her ask me to have a threesome with them.”
For now, to ensure her mental health, she is focusing on her Twitch streams, which she joined in 2021.
As of this writing, her Twitch followers are more than 330K, where she streams chat sessions and Valorant gameplay.
Moreover, in the same stream, she addressed that she was not quitting acting for good but was being selective with the projects.
Grace said, “As I get older, my work priorities are changing. I’m waiting for the right project.”

After a few years in minor roles in TV series, Grace made her career breakthrough as Brooke Osmond in the Netflix tween drama Greenhouse Academy (2017- 19). It co-starred Ariel Mortman, Chris O’Neal, and Jessica Amlee, among others.
She worked for the first two seasons before actress Danika Yarosh took over in Season 3 and Season 4; the show was canceled after the fourth season.
Then, Van Dien got another shoutout to fame with a brief yet effective character, Chrissy Cunningham, in Stranger Things (2022, Season 4).
