Before Slim Mercy aka Neri, the running back was in a relationship with rapper Tokyo Jetz in 2022. Their dating story came into the limelight after Jetz frequently appeared & cheered him during his games.

Domestic Violence Lawsuit From Ex-Girlfriend Gracelyn Trimble
Dalvin Cook saw himself in hot waters in November 2021, after his ex-girlfriend, Gracelyn Trimble, filed a case of domestic violence against him.
Cook and Trimble, a sergeant in the U.S. Army, met in 2018 on a Florida beach & started dating. But when they broke up after two years, it turned quite bitter on both ends.
According to the lawsuit, on November 19, 2020, she ended her relationship with the NFL star & went to his Inver Grove Heights home to collect her belongings, when the abuse occurred.
The complaints mentioned that Cook physically abused her, causing a concussion, and held her hostage at his home.
Moreover, in the lawsuit, Trimble shared pictures of her text with Dalvin and the injuries she sustained from the assault.
In the text message, the NFL star is seen saying, “I know what I did can be rewind…If you wanna go to the police I’ll respect that I’ll take my punishment for what I did!”
However, according to Dalvin Cook’s lawyer, David Valentini, the story was different.
He alleged that Gracelyn came to Cook’s home without his consent through the garage, and later punched and Maced him while keeping him hostage with a firearm. Also, he stated that the actions of the football player were in self-defense.
In the countersuit, Valentini also alleged that Trimble was trying to “extort him for millions of dollars” alleged to be $13 million.
Dalvin Cook Offered $1 Million For Settlement
In July 2023, Cook’s unsettled domestic violence lawsuit with his ex, Gracelyn, came into the limelight again after reports of him offering a hefty sum for settlement came.
According to documents filed in Dakota County District Court, the former Vikings star offered $1 million to his ex-girlfriend to bar testimony at his trial.
In May of that year, he first offered $800K, requiring Trimble to sign an affidavit denying abuse claims. Hours later, the offer became $1 million, for which she had to send a letter to the NFL absolving Cook of wrongdoing.
However, without any common grounds for settlement, the trial for the case is alleged to be somewhere in 2024.

Cook, 5 feet 10 inches (1.78 m) & 210 lbs, has an estimated net worth of $20 million as of 2024. It seems a justifiable amount given that he earned $40.825 million from seven NFL seasons from 2007 to 2023.
