Claudia Jessie’s boyfriend, Cole Edwards, met her for the first time on April 4, 2019. The actress remembers the exact date as it was also the day she auditioned for the show Bridgerton.
In her interview with Glamour in 2022, Claudia recalled the day. Jessie said the audition had a lot to do with Cole as he was one of the casting associates of the show.
Jessie said, “It was so much fun, and I felt really comfortable. And then that was it.” Claudia also explained her rule of deleting everything digitally and mentally about her auditions whenever she would be finished with it.
After a while, Claudia received the opportunity to play the role of Eloise Bridgerton on the show. The pair have kept their relationship lowkey, with Claudia not sharing a single photo with Cole on her Instagram.
The two also aren’t spotted much around, with their last spotting together being in October 2022. The Daily Mail clicked the two walking around Notting Hill with their dog.
In April of this year, Claudia talked about how she met Cole again during her interview with The Guardian. The Porters’ actress said, “I got a job and a fella on the same day.”

Who Is Cole Edwards?
Claudia’s boyfriend, Cole Edwards, has been working in the casting department since 2018. His first job came as a casting associate in the TV series The Innocents, and a year later, he worked in the same position for the crime-drama show Line of Duty.
2019 was also the year he started working for Bridgerton and also worked on Deadwater Fell and Brave New World. In 2021, he was part of the TV series The Wheel of Time starring Oscar nominee Rosamund Pike.
In 2023, Cole worked as a casting director for Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. He was also the casting associate of the thriller-drama TV series Liaison, which starred Vincent Cassel and Eva Green.
The casting director had previously tried his hands at acting. He first pursued acting in 2005 with the TV series The Bill. Edwards played the role of Rudy Williams in the crime-drama show that ran from 1984 until 2010.
Two years later, in 2005, Cole was seen in the family drama Desperados as he played the role of Aidan Robinson. His last acting job came in 2011 with Dani’s House, playing Nick Wickes.
Edwards has recently completed his new project, Booty. Booty is Edwards’ first project as a director and writer. The short film stars Claudia in the leading role and also has Lorraine Ashbourne and Ruth Sheen as its cast members.

Claudia Jessie Family: The Actress Comes From A Tough Background
We have seen Claudia Jessie wear the most fanciest gowns in Bridgerton. But she is one of those characters in the show that rejects the aristocracy, and that completely suits the person she is in real life.
Born in Moseley, in the suburbs of Birmingham, Jessie comes from a working-class background. Her parents are divorced, and the actress has a brother who remains out of the spotlight.
Growing up, Jessie did a lot of back and forth between living in a houseboat with her dad in Birmingham and a council estate in north London with her mom and brother.
The actress saw a lot of struggle as a child. Her mother worked hard as a cleaner to make ends meet. In a conversation with The Guardian, the actress said the condition was so severe at times that her brother’s friends would bring groceries for them.
On top of being financially in a wreck, Claudia struggled with bullies at school, leading her to be home-schooled.

But one day, local playwright Hannah Phillips noticed Claudia’s talent and believed she had what it takes to become an actress. And Claudia didn’t let Phillips down as she soon booked her first show, Doctors, in 2012.
Speaking to The Guardian, Claudia said she owed everything in her life to her mother. “She’s the most incredible human being, and she did everything she could for all of us,” said the Bridgerton actress.
